I used to only use it to take pictures of the local City Park with friends and tried to shoot anything that I found interesting. I have a small interest in videography but most of the photo compositions that I admired seemed to almost be straight out of a film. Like someone took a screenshot of the movie on their phone but somehow added more depth to it. It was that visual style that compelled me to start my photography journey. I wanted to replicate something like that. The first row of pictures is my first attempt at that. Dramatic lighting, a lot of texture, and a graininess to it that makes you feel like you are in an old film. It was different from what I envisioned but it allowed me to understand how a camera functions and how powerful editing can be.
